Did you know why now is such a great time to consider The Greens of Gunning ?

The NSW Government is providing assistance to buyers to get into the market for the first time in two ways; The First Home Owners Grant and the First Home Buyers Assistance Scheme... What are they?


First Home Owners Grant (New Home) Scheme

If this is your first home and you're looking to buy something new, you could qualify for a $10,000 grant under the First Home Owner Grant (New Homes) scheme. To qualify your new home must be no more than $600,000. Further information regarding your eligibility for the first homeowners grant can be found on the grants and schemes page of the Revenue NSW website.


First Home Buyer Assistance Scheme 

The government is looking to help first home buyers get into the Australian housing market like generations before. One of the ways it is helping is through the exemption of transfer (stamp) duty on land under $350,000 or House and Land under $650,000. With land at the Greens of Gunning starting at $195,000 this means you won't have to pay any stamp duty at all if you qualify under the scheme.

What could that mean for you? Using the calculator on the Revenue NSW website, we have calculated the transfer duty on a $600,000 house and land package with an execution date of 1st January 2020. This equates to $22,432 which is fully exempted. This is a tremendous saving which will greatly assist eligible home buyers.


Record Low Interest Rates 

The reserve bank has continued to support economic growth by reducing interest rates. The major banks are now offering fixed term home loan rates at as low as 2.8% for 2 years! These low rates along with reduced deposit requirements (and the NSW First home buyer grants) add up to great timing and a great opportunity.
